Barry Keoghan has revealed the surprising connection his dance scene in Saltburn has with Baz Luhrmann's biopic Elvis.

The 31-year-old actor, who played infatuated murderer Oliver Quick in the psychological thriller, explained how his character's final full-frontal dance scene was choreographed by the same choreographer in Elvis.

Polly Bennett coached Austin Butler and trained him to dance like Elvis Presley for the role he played in the Baz-directed blockbuster.

Speaking to GQ about the scene, Barry said: 'That was choreographed by Polly Bennett. She's brilliant.'

'I got to hit some steps and I think it was gorgeous to look at a figure like that roaming, you know, in that manner, dripping in money and paintings from the 1700s,' he added.

'It's not a normal thing to see, but it's a normal thing to do because I know we all do it at home. Every single one of us, we all dance around naked. So, it's probably the most relatable scene in the movie to everyone watching.'

Barry now co-stars alongside Austin in the new Apple TV+ series Masters of the Air.

Elsewhere in the interview, Barry revealed his role in Saltburn has helped him in a surprising way.

The actor said that playing Oliver has helped people stop looking at him as just a 'freak child-man.'

The psychological thriller, which also stars Australian actor Jacob Elordi, has set the internet ablaze with a series of shocking scenes which sees Oliver's obsession with Jacob's character Felix get incredibly out of hand.

After filming 'that' bath tub scene and Barry's improvised graveyard moment, the Irish actor opened up about how public perception of him has changed since the film's release.

'It's nice, man. It's nice not just being looked at as the weird-looking guy, the unique f*****g freaky little freak man-child, freak child-man, whatever you want to call it,' he told GQ.

He continued: 'My prettiness didn't get me this far,' but admitted he realises being someone audiences want to look at 'opens up other lanes for me - it's part of the leading man thing'.
